The Agora Gallery (530 West 25th Street, Chelsea, New York, NY, 10001) is proud to present Hedy Maimann in Interpretative Realms. Scheduled to run from January 30th through February 19th, the collection will feature a captivating selection of Hedy Maimann's quiet yet powerful paintings.
About Hedy Maimann:
For the innovative contemporary artist Hedy Maimann, her hands are the key to expression. Allowing her emotions, aesthetic ideas, and spiritual feelings to flow from her fingertips, Maimann weaves a deep connection to each of her softly textured works on canvas. Beautifully layering color upon color, Maimann's artworks are a transportational experience for the senses. Each spiritually rich canvas creates an almost dreamlike space, allowing the viewer to slip away for a moment into a heightened space of soulful awareness. Soothed by subtle colors, softly undulating lines, and a pleasantly tactile surface, the eye becomes entranced with the quiet yet powerful splendor of Maimann's paintings.
Born in Vienna, Austria, Maimann discovered at an early age the transformational powers of her artwork, using it as a medium to cope with the often difficult situations of her childhood. Her unique style of painting has been well received throughout Austria where she regularly participates in group and solo exhibitions. Recently acquiring representation in Manhattan, Hedy Maimann’s career in the arts continues to gain momentum.
