I would like to debate the line that separates graphic design from fine art? Is there such a line? A found an example study of Ryan McGinness. The artist left his graphic design profession a bit frustrated by the hindrance of an company and various design compromises. He abandoded his profession to become a fine art graphic artist. Now he is quite successful graphic artist. I think that graphic design is merely and purely decorative which is what differentiates it from fine art
